Locksmith Project Space




Locksmith operated on a not-for-profit basis, providing a free exhibition space for local and interstate artists. Their program included exhibitions, as well as experimental sound and music nights, film and video screenings.

In 2009 Locksmith expanded its exhibition program with a new publication Locksmith Project, which presented the work of local, interstate and international artists.

Locksmith was opened in November 2007 by two artists, Kenzee Patterson and Samuel Villalobos. In 2009 Kenzie Larsen, Yasmin Smith and Rachel Fuller joined the directorial committee.



The site of Locksmith closed and the space was then used to present Society, an independent curatorial project over 6 months in July 2011 - December 2012. More info at http://www.welcome-to-society.com/
