Firstdraft depot is the new Firstdraft studio complex in Woolloomooloo operated in co-operation with City of Sydney. Firstdraft Depot houses The Firstdraft Emerging Artist Studio Program, the Affordable Studio Program (available to emerging and experimental artists) and the Firstdraft Emerging Arts Writers program. The building features a small ground floor project space for short run exhibitions and workshops and an outdoor courtyard for mini festivals and events. Firstdraft Depot, like Firstdraft Gallery aims at expanding opportunities for emerging and experimental artists and arts practitioners. In addition to its existing programs, Firstdraft Depot allows further peer relationship building through its expanded studio program in a shared studio community and the opportunity for artists to show experimental projects in the attached project space as a direct result of their Affordable Studio residency. Firstdraft Depot also provides a site for community engagement and interaction with the rich local Woolloomooloo arts community .
