We warmly invite you to join us at one of our People Make Places Nadi Meeting Points to pick up or deliver your matchbox for our Nadi Time Capsule. You are also welcome to use our creative kit to create your matchbox on the spot.

We will regularly add the locations we will be daily to this web post. Some meeting points will be at private venues so please contact us directly to be informed of the exact location. If you can’t make any of the stated times or locations, please feel free to suggest an alternative time and place to meet up between now and early August.

Our meeting points (Pop Ups) are where you can share your matchbox with other Nadi locals taking part in People Make Places. Please allow ample time to enjoy the experience and to ensure we can individually photograph you (at least your hands) with your box and record your voice explaining what you have created.

We often sit around a long table or a few tables where participants can share their matchboxes with each-other and/or create their boxes. Often locals visiting the venue at the time are curious and they also join in and create their own magical boxes on the spot. The project is very inviting and celebrates inclusivity and diversity and there is always lots of love in the room!

もしオススメの場所があれば私たちに教えてください！数時間でも、１、２日でも大歓迎です。私たちがポップアップポイントに置きたいものは１、２個のテーブルのみです。あまりスペースは取りません。その会場のサイズによって１〜１０個のタイムカプセルを持っていきます。それらのタイムカプセルは私たちが他の国で集めて一緒に旅をしたものです。なので他の国々の人々の物語を垣間見ることができます！普段会場では、長机が置かれていて、他の人々の創作を見たりお互いに刺激を受けることができます。また、通りがかりの人も気になってちょっと見にきたら、いつのまにかプロジェクトに参加したくなる、、、というように、このプロジェクトは誰をも惹きつける魅力があり、お互いの“違い”を知れる機会であり、たくさんの“LOVE”に溢れた場所なのです！

Two elements Jonathon sees every day from his apartment are The Castro rainbow flag - for inclusiveness and tolerance, and Sutro tower - a 3 sided radio tower very well visible in San Francisco often shrouded by fog. Fog has been termed by San Franciscans as Karl the Fog….

John’s matchbox includes a part of a passport work by Tom Sachs, an artist currently exhibiting at the Brooklyn Museum - (The museum is open late tonight and is right near where we will be in Prospect Park this afternoon!)

We have arrived in New York and are collecting matchboxes for our global project “People Make Places”. We welcome those living, working and/or studying in New York to join this project by creating a miniature impression of what New York means to you inside one of our signature matchboxes. In 2011 we met over 100 locals In Deniliqin who all created inside one of our matchboxes, something they wished to share with the world about Deni for a Deniliquin Time Capsule for our “People Make Places” Match Box Project. This Time-capsule has been travelling with us and has been exhibited in 10 cities across the globe, where the project has also grown box by box.

We are passing by Deni for 24hrs on the way to create the project in Adelaide. Whilst in Deni we would love to share the Deniliquin Time Capsule  together with some of the 2000 more boxes we have collected across Melbourne, Sydney, Mosman,  Shanghai, Venice, London, Berlin, Edinburgh and Dubai.
